The benefits of spending time outdoors are important if we want to keep our souls happy. And remember, that when we are happy, we are open to great things happening in our lives.

Natural sunlight gives your daily dose of vitamin D: we all know how important vitamin D is for a well-functioning body. Although it's present in many foods, casual exposure to sunlight can provide you more than half of your daily needs. 

It's important to mark that vitamin D has disease-fighting powers, which take us to another benefit of spending time outdoors. It boosts your immune system!

Free aromatherapy: who doesn't love smelling trees (especially pines), flowers, and nature in general. When outdoors, you should stop for a sec to smell a flower or hug a tree. Don't you feel calmer just by thinking about doing it?

It's easy to exercise outdoors: studies around the world have shown that exercising surrounded by green landscapes makes us feel a positive mood and get thrilled by the adventurous spirit of finding something new.

Even just spending time outdoors daily, will help you be a more active person. Even though you can exercise in a gym, or exercise outdoors, a 30-minute walk 3 times a week wouldn't hurt anyone. The benefits of spending that short time outside will definitely make a positive impact in your life.


Enhances your creativity: we don't even need to name the studies that have proved that spending time outdoors benefits your innovative skills. If you are finding it hard to concentrate, go for a 10-minute walk to your nearest park, you'll instantly see your focus restored.

    • Brunching? Invite your family to eat dinner on that patio table you barely use.
    • Hooked on a new book? It's easy, read on your porch.
    • Walk your dog 3 times a day if possible or spend some time playing together outside.
    • Working from home? Work outside, a backyard, deck, or patio will work.
    • Go for a walk daily. In the morning or the afternoon, no matter the time, you just need to go outside.

    The list can go on and on. As we are sure you've already discovered, spending time outdoors is one of the easiest ways to improve your overall health.

    As days get warmer, we try to stay outside of our houses more often. Going for a walk, planning a hike, riding bikes on a trail, and much more activities we love to do when saying goodbye to winter. 

    Spring is just around the corner, that is what everyone says nowadays. And although it's hard to spend time outdoors when it's winter, let's not leave the weather to determine how much time we stay outdoors. The benefits of staying outside of our homes even a couple of minutes a day are tremendous.
